The lady's here are helpful, nice and very knowledgeable about hair AND products. There is such a variety of products here and you can get a sweet hair-do! Love it here!
Shalom Beauty is by far the BEST I have ever been too!!!!! I'm so happy I finally found a perfectionist hair dresser! Grace( the owner) listens to what you want she's fast she's also like a therapist to me lol she is outgoing but most importantly I will never go to another place! I drive an hour to have her do my hair, that's how talented and caring she really is! Look no farther, trust me, I would have never taken my time to write a review like this unless it was for a good reason. You won't regret it!!!! I use to go to Shalom to purchase wigs about once a month and I always dealt with Grace. She seemed nice and friendly. However, one day while purchasing a wig I watched her curl a lady's weave who was from Africa (Grace is from Africa) and she did such a nice job (patient, attention to detail, and friendly), so I decided to get a weave and Grace said she would do it...I went in a few days prior and sat in her chair, took my wig off and asked her to come look and feel my hair so she would know what she was dealing with. She just stood there and looked from a distance but would not come over to me to REALLY get a feel for my texture, thickness, etc. I know my hair is hard to deal with because it tangles, it's thick, and past my shoulders. I wanted Grace to get a heads up on what she was dealing with, but again, she would not look/touch my hair and quoted me a price of $150. Okay, so I go in with my hair in four plats and I comb it out as best as I could hoping to make it easier for her. She continued to make smart comments about my hair the WHOLE time she was doing it. She was ruff (I am tender headed) and had a bad attitude. She kept saying "I did not know you had this much hair, I would've charged you more!!!!" I explained to her I gave her plenty of opportunity to look at my hair prior to quoting me a price. She just sulked the whole time. THE FINAL INSULT WAS WHEN MY PHONE RANG AND SHE HANDED ME MY MK PURSE. WHEN SHE PUT IT BACK SHE SAID, 'OH, YOUR PURSE IS HEAVY, EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU IS HEAVY!" I was so hurt and embarrassed that she would say that to me, loud, in front of everyone (the shop was super crowded). I AM A SIZE 18. Before I left (just to see what she would say) I asked her would she do my weave again and she sat there with that nasty attitude on her face and told me no! I knew before I asked her I WOULD NEVER let her touch a hair on my body, nor would I EVER BUY A WIG from her again. Not sure where all the hate and attitude came from; jealous of my hair, clothes, face, purse...not sure but GRACE is not graceful at all and she lost a faithful customer! And btw, the Bobbi Boss hair she sold me was terrible. After a week it shed like crazy, matted up, and was dry. I would not recommend doing business with Grace, Shalom Beauty Supply Owner......a side note, I ran into a complete stranger at the gym and we start talking about horrible experiences with hair dressers...long story short, my horror story and her horror story was about the same lady, Grace! SMH
She cut and styled my hair so awesome! I definitely felt beautiful when I left there. The women are so nice and they really try to build rapport with their customers. I won't go anywhere else to get my hair done
